11. What are your plans after finishing this course?

12. What are your future plans?

13. What are your TOEFL/SAT/GRE/GMAT Scores?

14. Why is your GRE/GMAT/TOEFL so low?

15. How many universities did you apply to? Which are they?

16. How did you come to know about these Universities?

17. How many admits have you received?

18. Why have you chosen only this University for your further studies?

19. But this University seems to be not very good?

20. How can you convince me that you are not a prospective immigrant?

21. Who are your sponsors? Where did they get this money from?

a) Proof of Movable Assets such as:


UTI/MIP/ULIP/LIC/NSC/KVP/IVP/NSS/PF/PPF/GARTUTITY/SHA
RES/DEBENTURES/BONDS/FDs in Non Banking Organizations
such as ICICI, Nagarjuna Finance, ITC Classics etc./ household effects
/ jewellery / vehicles / Advances all in orginal.


b) FDR’s / Bank Passbook / Monthly Statement along with Bank
Certificate (Format Enclosed) in original but not later than 10 days old.


c) Proof of Income-Salary Certificate / P & L Account for Business
Income / Income Tax Returns / Declaration of the tenant and Rental
Receipt for rental income / Block Development Officer or MRO
certificate for agriculture income in originals.


d) Proofs of Immovable Assets-valuation papers from Govt. Approved
Valuers / Architects / Engineers / Registry of Property / Power of
Attorney / Title Deeds / Sale Deeds / Sale Agreements etc.,


6. Work Experience Certificates, if any.


7. Leave letter from the employer if leave is sought or any fresh jobs offer in India,
if any.


8. Affidavit of Support from Sponsor – Parents / Brother / Spouse / Sister Relative
etc.,

7. 2 colored photographs (size 2" X 2") with white background (50mmX50mm)

8. SEVIS fee of US $ ..... through website http://www.ice.gov/sevis/

Student VISA applying Online

Applying on line step by step procedure..

Before start of applying online, you should have

1. Passport
2. Email Address
3. Relevant documents - Mandatory - Documents
4. I-20 issued from university
5. Application Fee Receipt issued by Bank -VISA Application fee through HDFC Bank




After you pay the VISA Application Fee,

You will be given Bank Fee Receipt, Which contains the two Barcode stickers.

Go through once and Click on the Apply for a Non-immigrant Visa


It will lead to How to pay you fees,



As u have already paid the fees Click Continue

Once you click on continue, you will be getting


Select No
It will lead to


If you’re creating for first time
Click on Create a new application



Read on the conditions

Based on it select you can select I agree
I disagree

And, then Click on Continue

If you have selected I agree,
You will be proceed to



State of Residence
Select the appropriate, which ever is applicable for you

Then you will be asked to
Select language for interview

Students applying select English




Purpose of Travel

Students who are applying,
Select studying in the USA/Exchanger Visitor


Then you can answer for the appropriate questions
Then click on Continue


If there are no dates available click Ok
And, continue filling the application form


You will be asked for

Passport Expiry date

It will be printed in the first page of your passport
Date of Expiry

Note: once you enter it can’t be changed later

Then after entering appropriately
Click on Continue



You Need to Enter the details,
As per your passport

Also Enter the BarCode No
Which will be bellow the sticker, HDFC Bank Receipt

Then click on Continue

Then you will be getting
DS-156
DS-157
DS-158

Fill it appropriately

Note: First 14 questions in Ds-156 form can’t be altered later

To Pay VISA Application Fees

Visit the nearest HDFC Bank Branch, Where they receive the VISA Application Fees.

Documents Required:

You should have a valid passport and, Produce a photocopy of your passport (1st / last page) while paying the application fees

Mode of Payment:

You can pay through Cash, Demand Draft or HDFC Bank transfer Cheque, Drawn in favor of “US EMBASSY VISA FEES”

After paying the Fee

You will be given two acknowledgements copy, Pink and Blue Slip with Barcoded Stickers.

You need to submit HDFC Fees acknowledgement along with the visa application form, on the visa scheduled Day.
